Tulsa SAS First Grade

First Graders at Tulsa Street SAS have a year packed with learning! We expand upon the foundational skills learned in Kindergarten to develop into fluent readers. First Graders learn to write independently, creating narrative, opinion, and informative pieces. We explore numbers past 100 and learn multiple strategies for adding and subtracting. Our students enjoy amazing opportunities in Art, Music, PE, Dance and Theater Arts as well as Social Emotional lessons designed to teach self- regulation, kindness and empathy.
