Tulsa SAS Second Grade

Second graders come with many skills in place that allow us to expand their thinking and learning so they are prepared for their upper grade experience. We build on their knowledge of adding and subtracting to include regrouping to the hundreds place. We expand their knowledge of sentence writing to paragraph writing, including a main idea and supporting details. We develop their knowledge of the past by studying US history in the 1800s. We enrich their knowledge of science by investigating states of matter and cycles in nature. Students love being Super Second Graders at Tulsa SAS!
