Principals Message

Dear Staff, Families, and Students of Tulsa Elementary School for Advanced Studies:

Welcome back to the 2026-2027 school year! My name is Ritma Estupiñan, and I am the proud principal of our school, Tulsa Elementary School for Advanced Studies. Throughout my career in LAUSD, I have served in many different educational roles including elementary teacher, coordinator, Parent & Community Engagement Coach, and Assistant Principal.

As we begin this new school year, I want to remind everyone of the importance of kindness, respect, and hard work. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for all students. This year, our focus will remain on meeting the needs of all students by providing a positive, safe, and welcoming learning environment where every child feels valued, respected, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. We are also committed to preparing students for the real world by teaching 21st-century skills they need to succeed. It is an honor to serve the school that is a beacon of light- with some of the best educators, most dedicated families, and most remarkable students. Tulsa SAS is truly the best-kept secret in Granada Hills!

Collaboration will be key to our success. I am dedicated to fostering partnerships between home and school. We will work together to meet the needs of all learners. I welcome your ideas, feedback, and involvement.
